Reforms to I2I’s Industry Engagement workstream

Innovation to Impact (I2I) has re-structured its Industry Engagement workstream to ensure the group can continue to provide a clear, independent voice in the vector control space.

As a part of this initiative, the membership of the Industry Engagement workstream has been revised to include all WHO Prequalification Listed manufacturers of vector control tools. Additionally, I2I have appointed Dr Robert Sloss as an independent chair to coordinate the group, consolidate feedback and act as an interface between the workstream and outside parties.

Robert is known to many in the vector control world and has worked in technical, research and senior commercial roles in multinational companies including Pharmacia, ICI, Zeneca and Avecia. He has considerable experience in New Product Development and has worked with a variety of industry and academic partners. Robert was formerly Portfolio Manager at IVCC, developing innovative approaches to control vector borne diseases.

The Industry Engagement workstream will continue to serve as a key stakeholder group, particularly for interfacing with the  WHO Pre-Qualification team for Vector Control Products (PQT VCP); and through these changes will be able to maintain a coherent and independent voice in those engagements.
