Annabel Murphy

Annabel Murphy is a Research Assistant working for I2I focusing on method development and optimisation of new and existing vector control tools. She joined LSTM’s Vector Biology Department in 2017 as a Research Assistant and has worked on projects which include investigating  ‘appropriate tests for the evaluation of behavioural, delayed and sub-lethal effects of insecticides on mosquitoes’ funded by the Gates Foundation and as part of the Liverpool Insect Testing Establishment (LITE) working on a range of projects related to insecticide resistance in mosquito vectors of malaria in development by the Innovative Vector Control Consortium (IVCC). She has also worked in the Clinical Sciences group working on the Experimental Human Pheumococcal Carriage model.

Prior to working at LSTM Annabel obtained a BSc in combined honours Biological Sciences from the University of Liverpool and an MSc in Molecular Biology of Parasites and Disease Vectors from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
