Julie-Anne Tangena

Julie-Anne joined I2I as a Technical Program Manager in 2024 to drive the adoption of innovative tools for enhancing vector control durability and data-driven policy. A medical entomologist with over a decade of experience, she has successfully led multi-country projects across Africa and Asia, targeting diseases like malaria, dengue, Zika, chikungunya, Japanese encephalitis, schistosomiasis and leishmaniasis. A key focus of her work is fostering collaboration with academics, policymakers, and local communities. With extensive experience in developing and implementing training programmes, workshops, and mentorship initiatives, Julie-Anne is focussed on improving data quality and utility to support effective disease control.
