Congratulations are in order for the PAMVERC facility in Moshi, Tanzania, which has recently achieved Good Laboratory Practice compliance.

The site had a successful inspection in January by the African body for GLP compliance, and now just have a number of small issues to address before they receive their certificate, which is likely to be in April.

GLP compliance is a benchmark of research quality which will allow WHO to accept manufacturer-generated data on vector control products from this site.

The Moshi facility is the first of 13 laboratories supported in the current i2i programme to reach compliance by the end of 2018.

More information on the other laboratories can be found here.

PAMVERC is the Pan-African Malaria Vector Control Research Consortium which was formed in 2008 by three trial sites at Moshi and Muheza in Tanzania, and Cotonou in Benin.
